Tolarno Galleries

summary.

A complete end-to-end redesign and development of the Tolarno Galleries website, modernizing a decade-old digital presence. The new platform introduces a streamlined information architecture and a minimalist aesthetic that elevates the experience for both online visitors and the internal team.

challenge.

For nearly ten years, Tolarno Galleries operated on a legacy website that had become increasingly difficult to scale. The primary issue was a highly unorganized system for cataloging and displaying gallery exhibitions. This fragmented structure created a disjointed browsing experience for art collectors and a frustrating, inefficient content management workflow for gallery managers trying to keep the site updated. Furthermore, the outdated architecture was actively hindering the gallery's search engine visibility.

To resolve these friction points, I completely restructured the site's information architecture and developed a custom, lightweight frontend. The visual direction focuses on simplicity, utilizing a refined color palette and highly legible typography, ensuring that the artwork itself remains the absolute focal point.

By rebuilding the exhibition system from the ground up, gallery managers can now effortlessly update, organize, and archive collections. The resulting platform not only delivers a seamless, accessible user experience that lets the art stand out, but also drives significantly improved SEO performance through clean code and logical site structure.
